Hi,

NewtCast is a very simple audio adapter for the MessagePad.
It shows only one audio jack built on an interconnect plug
and permits to listen audio from Newton (at line level)
and record audio to Newton (at line level).

NewtCast photos are here:

What is new:
  1. Compatibility with Plaintalk microphones
Such old Apple accessory has an integrated mic-amplifier which need
5V to record at astonishing quality.
(Consider that the Plaintalk microphone was developed to be used for
Mac speech recognition).

  2. Newton audiocasts
Record your interviews using your Newton, then transfer them on your
desktop using a cool utility like "Audio In"
(available here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/
15962).
The same utility will then let you play Newton audio through your
desktop speakers.
