Okay, now I got it - thanks to all who shed a little bit of light in
this. The music remains stored on the iPod and is played by it but the
MP2kx knows all songs, allows searching and is able to send commands
to the iPod including song selection and the like. I thought that the
iPod is one of the, if not simply THE BEST mp3 player on the market
with an outstanding interface? I've played only a few min with an iPod
in a store and couldn't try out all functions but I assumed that
creating playlists is easy on the iPod. Thinking it thru I see that
searching for something like a singer or part of song title is
probably hard because of the lack of a fast means to enter letters
with the patented wheel. But playing music thru or with the Newton is
no option, at least IMO.
