In my experience that card is good.
When you say that you are trying to connect to your wireless network,
what do you mean?
Are you attempting to connect to NCU running in classic or OS 9?
Are you attempting to us one of the newton web browsers?

The Newton will not see computers that are not running some Newton
connection software.
Neither Mac nor windows machines can "see" the Newton except through
some connection software.

I have heard that the Airport Extreme has problems with Appletalk or
something that makes it difficult to connect,

Is anyone using an Airport Extreme Base station with their newt?
