Yet another option,
would be to get epoxy resin. This is often sold as a product called
"Epoxy-Putty". It's a clay like substance that you knead into a
homogenious consistency to activate, once that's done, you can mold it
into any shape and it will set within an hour or so. You may be able to
use this to make an enclosure for the point at which the dongle and
newton connect.

you could also just try slicing off the nic port and soldering the
connectors directly onto the Newt's MB :).
