A search of the archives for "factory calibration" did produce some
interesting reading and leads (seems that Paul Guyot was working on
this a few years ago).
Seems that most were able to use Newton without problem but not
charge batteries, believed to be a hardware problem.

to delete all patches and brainwipe see Stephanie's hardware hacks.
