[NTLK] 2100 Leather cover question

My 2100 came with a Newton Leather cover for it, and it has a series
of elastic straps on the inside of various sizes, but for the life of
me I cannot figure out how I would actually use them to secure my
newton in the case... they are all a bit too short...
Anyone have any clues??
