ditto.
I have printed out the responses to stick to my Studio door so all students can
learn.

My paths to digital specialist (not expert (x:spurt where x = an unknown factor,
spurt = a drip under pressure)) has stemmed from playing and creating and doing
much as what the techos/sysadmins have said. I am really just a Mac creative
who has been playing and pushing and fixing for 20 years.

back OnT with a funny anecdote
I love to read, mostly sci-fi, fiction and comix/graphic novels but I also RTFM
as well. Before I worked on iPAQs I took my Newt everywhere as I have Newton
Press and NCU. Later I discovered the wonderful worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs
etc from Project Newtonberg.

My father who didnt read as much, mostly scripts as an actor, once reminded me
in front of my children, that as a youngster I read always, even in bed under
the covers sfter lights out with a torch. Now my 3 kids 13-18) have been
obviously subjected to computers since birth and I suppose I should have
anticipated it, but often my Newt would disappear when I wanted to use it.

Invariably it was being used by one of them after lights outtime because of its
backlight. You can just picture that glowing green and humming buzz and an
irate dad with a smile.

thats why a Newt is great.
