That's probably a "transparent" caching proxy from NTL. Connecting
completely raw from an exposed IP, I see no redirect from Google.[1]

Get a new ISP? This is not a DNS or DHCP issue as mentioned by another
poster. These are much higher level errors than those kinds of things.
These are SMTP and HTTP level issues, which expect much more
sophisticated stuff than your Newton is currently configured to do.
