This is exactly what I did with my Rockwell Jupiter GPS kit. I have to =
init
it from withing GPSmap with a special command to reduce the GPS receiver
output frequency from 1sec to to 2sec. This is necessary to allow enough
time for the Newton and especially GPSmap to parse and process all =
incoming
stings and read all data from the serial input buffer. It is also =
helpful to
disable some of the stings if they are not needed. In my case I could
disable 3 of totally 7 strings which gives nearly 40% less input data.
Together with the 2sec intervall it made my setup stable, beside the =
fact
that I don't use a UMP2000 nor MP2100 but a MP2000 with only 1MB RAM and
WITHOUT '61 bug fix installed and of course disabled within GPSmap.=20

If it would be installed all together in one case then I would probably =
use
it more often - to sad... :-(
