NCU isn't even close to nSync. Marcus is working on *making* that better
thing come along.

NCU under Basilisk is Appletalk-based and subject to a lot more bridging
restrictions than TCP-based connections. For example, there's very few
wireless access points that bridge Appletalk packets from wireless to
wired sides. (Yes, I know which netgear APs do, that's not the point.)
NCU also has (at absolute best) a very complicated chain of
import/exports to reach formats of data that are actually supported by
desktop software that is actually in widespread contemporary use, and
each step in the chain is subject to data loss.
