I spent about 20 years growing up in Erie, PA. Mid-sized town, but worth a trip, depending upon the weather, to the Presque Isle Peninsula State Park area (www.presqueisle.org). 13 miles of shoreline, some decent beaches for Pennsylvania, and a nice chance to see the Scourge of the Great Lakes zebra mussels.
