Well, having luck of a different flavour now. I put the .ics file (US
Holidays) on my desktop machine, enabled the web server, IC/VC
connected happily, but it created meetings instead of events. These are
shown lasting all day, and they're repeating, and there's a bug in them
that won't let me edit them, though I was able to 'delete all'. Arrgh.
Interestingly I tried SBM Utilities soup editor, but couldn't find them
in 'Repeat Meetings', or anywhere else. Eckhart?

On the other front I've happily created new date entries using the NTK
Inspector (thanks to 'Programming for the Newton Using Macintosh'), but
I'm not there yet for writing a program to install new dates, and might
not be until 2006 :-)

I'll keep you all posted,

jc
