[NTLK] [OT] Printing on OSX Panther whilst in Screensaver mode ?

To the Panther users out there .....
                                                             I can only
print Newton LPR documents on a Panther attached ethernet printer when the
screen saver is not active.
I was eapecting the print server function to be capable of printing to the
printer in background mode. am I missing something obvious here ?
