I believe there is an easy work around to this problem. If OSX
downloads the package then tells you it "can't find the bill of
materials" or some other error message, go back to the download link
and "control click" on it. (The equivalent to "right clicking" if you
have a two button mouse.) A dialogue box will pop up and give you
several choices. One of them will be "Download linked file as . . ."
Select that choice and the file will download without any problems.
