I haven't done my repair yet, but in looking at it, rather than worrying about desoldering the wires, why not cut the wires somewhere and use some sort of connector, so that in the future, if you need to take off the display or fix the other hinge or re-fix it, you just unclip a clip instead of soldering the motherboard?
Something to think about.
