Not really. A loose lid that won't stay in position, problems with
stylus input or other display problems suggest that one or more have
released. A very stiff lid is a warning also. The presence of any of
these symptoms should be taken very seriously, don't use until you
check and repair.

If you don't know that the springs were cleaned, lubricated and washers
installed, you should do it ASAP.
