Just guessing, but two things you could try. I remember reading that
when paths had unusual characters, like spaces, you could have
problems. Something to do with OS X/unix finickity-ness? Perhaps you
could try moving your resource file somewhere closer to home.
Also, again taking a wild stab, MakePixFamily is a 2.1 function, make
sure you're using the correct Project Settings.
Must try doing this sometime, but not for a couple of weeks at least.
