You guys are incredible, and I hope you both find time to enjoy the
fruits of your many labors (whew!).

I hope your PHD thing goes well Paul, I know through close friends
what a major drag that can be, especially when it gets down to the
wire...

(warning more Einstein rambling)

I think personally that it is best to not be married to a particular
PDA(not yet at least), so it seems to me that trading off the speed of
native code execution is worth it in order to retain options for the
future. We don't want to move to a new PDA platform and then have that
crap out too... Also I think it's good to think in terms of the time
frame of this project (Einstein) and realize that PDA's available a
couple of years from now are gonna be mighty powerful and shouldn't
have a problem keeping a good speed while emulating the ARM instruction
set.

Using Posix and NetBSD sounds good to me also... Although I have built
NetBSD in the past (68k) and hope I won't have to do that on a PDA in
the future :~)

This is really exciting, and I am thrilled to hear your ideas for
pulling it off... I am also excited and drooling over the Escale
update...
