   This made me think of a rather off-the-wall question: are there any
consumer PCMCIA cards for Wi-max or UWB (Ultra-wide-band, which I
believe is being dubbed Zigbee) yet?

   Yet another reason for Einstein's eventual goal - there's NO way to
get around the lack of 32-bit CardBus support on the Newton.. Or the
limit of 4MB DRAM imposed by the number of address lines (except for
*maybe* some kind of bank-switching technique, which would require much
more hacking of the OS than would be worth it)
