Yes, the Newt is a wonderful environment to work in until the dreaded
jaggies appear.

The other thing you can do is freeze all nonessential apps. Mine started
developing jaggies the other day when I re-activated Works and they didn't
go away until I froze it again.

Also there is some hardware modification involving shaving off a bit from
the edge of the case[?] that has been discussed before. Doug Parker once
offered to do it for me but my jaggies went away mysteriously. I have
noticed one or two other listers that have tried it with mixed results. But
seeing as you have the confidence to open your Newt up you might want to try
it yourself.

Subject: [NTLK] Jaggies on my Newton :(

Hello Everyone,

My Newton has an awful case of jaggies. I can get around it, by
squeezing the case to the left of the clip where the screen closes.
However, I've opened up my newton, cleaned the connector for the
digitizer, and cleaned underneath the screen. Nothing I do seems to have
a result. If I take the back off of the newton, I can ONLY squeeze the
case and not the part where the motherboard is connected to get it to work.

I'm baffeled. Developing is such a pain like this, I could really use
some advice. I looked over the archive, but I don't seem to see much on
this particular version of the jaggies.

Thanks!
