Often when I run Newt's Cape, it does NOT end the internet connection,
at least, not the same way as other apps 'disconnect' and 'power down'
the connection. I think that is because Newt's cape leaves it open on
purpose. There is a menuitem under the 'File' menu called 'Reset
HTTP'. If it is not within parenthesis, then when you select it, it
will close and disconnect the Newt from the net. You should probably
do this when you're done with Newt's cape but before you exit it. If
you forget (Like I do half the time), you can relaunch it and choose
that option again and close the app again.

There may be a setting for Newt's cape to always close down the net
connection, but I'm not aware of what / where that is....
