My favorite way to do that is to use a fax-to-email gateway. I fax notes
and memos (all the time) to my Unix Box and then it emails a GIF (of the
fax) to the email account of my choice. Very handy in this "hard to print
from your Newton" world.

There are some free fax-to-email services available if you look around the
net.
