I think it's not so much going backwards as trying to make things
cheaper, having said that, Moore's Law makes all technology cheaper
over time.
------------------------
Cheaper is fine and smaller is fine EXCEPT for screen size. For some things
(such as screen size) smaller is not always better. With a lot of the newer
handhelds I feel like I should get out a magifying glass resembling Sherlock
Holmes looking for the "missing screen". Or like that old Wendys commercial
from the 80's with the 3 ladies looking at a burger and a huge bun. But
when they lift the bun the burger is only the size of a postage stamp and
yell "WHERE'S THE BEEF!".
