beginning of rant

Okay, here's my question. Did anyone else notice how hard this question was
to read? After 20 years of the Mac teaching us about typography and
generations of teachers teaching about punctuation and spelling, let alone
capitalization, we come to this? Just kidding.

So, your question.

Yes, every device would require a device driver to be written. You (u)
would have to get someone (sumone) to figure it out and write a driver. The
device manufacturers typically do this, but getting someone to write a
driver for a dead computer is beyond the scope of profitability.

Someone would have to have a good heart and a lot of time on their hands.
