Hey, mike:

I'm in Portland, but I have family in Puget Sound, and would be happy to
meet other Newt users up there (provided I can survive my wife's 'and you
want to do WHAT now?' look).

As for connecting to your Pismo, I've had great experience using the Keyspan
Twin Serial USB adapter connecting my eMate to my G5. I'd highly recommend
it (but get it off eBay - they're way too expensive otherwise).
