i would tend to agree. this is how i operate now. i keep my 2 OS X macs in sync with iSync and sync my newt off of one of them with nSync. it serves my purposes well.
my vision of the perfect solution would not necessitate the Newt being tethered to a Mac to sync. The Newt would be able to grab some kind of sync file from your iDisk, or somewhere else on the net and do its thing independently. It's a long way from where we are now, but that's my personal opinion of how it would work in a perfect world.

this sounds interesting indeed. but it seems aimed more at keeping several macs in sync. it doesn't really say if they will be opening up the format of the data that gets stored on the iDisk. so it may not really help us much (unless i read it wrong). we can already keep 2 macs' addresses and calendars in sync and then sync the Newt from one of them.
