Subject: [NTLK] Some Project Ideas for Idle Hands

After reading all of the flotsam and jetsom of the past few issues (of this
digest), I am convinced that many of you have too much time on your hands.
May I suggest a few NEWTON-RELATED project ideas to get you back on track?
Here are a few things that I would like to see become available:

1) A beaming program that allows me to send basic text documents between my
Newton MP 2100 and my Toshiba e330 Pocket PC. My Toshiba Pocket PC
recognizes that a Newton is attempting to contact it, but the message never
gets transferred over.

2) A program that allows me to exchange more than simple text files between
my Newton MP 2100 and my desktop PC. I want to also take drawings created
in the Newton and transfer them to apps on my desktop.

3) A nice, clean set of Newton tutorials that are NOT scattered across the
known Internet universe. I want to learn more, but I usually end up having
to search out several mirror sites in five different countries before I find
what I need. Why not CONSOLIDATE some of the good stuff in one place?

4) Answers to posted questions that don't involve:

   a) Vague referrals to obscure websites
   b) Diatribes on the superiority of Apple over PCs.
      You're preaching to the choir.
   c) Never-ending debates on non-Newton topics

I know I seem bitchy, but I am trying to get up-to-speed and make the most
of my Newts. It is really frustrating to search and ask questions, only to
get vague replies. This is not always the case, but quite often, it is.
I'll continue to do my best to respond and contribute when and where I can.
Thank you.
