Unfortunately this is not entirely true. The "race to the bottom" in
PC pricing has produced a hodge podge of ill built and ill tested
hardware combinations which are actually quite crappy regardless of
which OS you run.
Just look at all those celeron boxes with with Intel video chips.
Nuff said.

PS Linux does fix about 98% of "PC" problems though.
