[NTLK] Had AMEX Card Out at Sony Style Store-NYC

Hey All-

Okay, so here's the scene. I'm at the Sony Style store in Manhattan on
Madison and 55th Street. I'm dealing with a nice but typically
indifferent sales person about the possibility of purchasing a Clie
that has both WiFi and Bluetooth I need so badly.

Let me back up a little. Some background first. I'm a longtime lurker
on this list, since the beginning. Been a heavy Newton user since the
1993 MacWorld Show in Boston. From the OMP to my current MP2100, I've
owned and used everything in between. The point being, I'm no
Johnny-Come-Lately. I've been totally dedicated to the platform and run
a good sized advertising business on my MP2100 right now. To cut to the
chase, connectivity is my primary use now. I need to be able to get
Eckart's Blunt working with my Sony-Ericsson T616 phone. I've had WiFi
working beautifully for a couple of years now, so that's no problem.

To finish my Sony Clie story, I almost weakened and bought one, but
something held me back from doing so, and it wasn't the money. Although
the Clie would do exactly what I need, it just didn't feel right. What
I really want, is to keep using my Newton, but I DO need to make the
Newton keep pace with my requirements and that seems to be getting
harder and harder to do.

Here's' what I'm hoping one or more of you kind folks can help me with
before I throw in the towel and go for the Clie:
1) Help me get my MP2100 working with Blunt, my Ambicom Bluetooth PC
Card and my Sony-Ericsson T616 Cell phone.
2) Help me figure out if there's a way to get online with T-Mobile's
WiFi service available as HotSpots all over the place.

Having the solutions to those two problems would allow me to keep my
beloved Newton for many more years to come. and nothing would make me
happier.

One last thing. Eckart, the last time you gave me some advice on Blunt,
you asked me to just try a simple data transfer from my Newton to the
phone or to try the reverse. It did not work. The two devices saw each
other, and I do have them paired, but no data was transfered.

Thanks Everyone.
