I paid $ 8.81 US at the end of March for a PowerMac 7300 to be shipped ground by UPS from Illinois (60098) to Western New York (10201). That's 600 land miles. Shipping weight was 26 pounds.

A four pound package last week from Kansas (66062) to here (WNY) cost $ 6.65 to have shipped by DHL (Airborne) ground. That's a 1000 mile land distance.

DHL isn't my first choice of shippers (it was the only choice in this case) but they (DHL/Airborne) have been consistently less expensive than either UPS ground or FedEx ground.

Shipping time in both cases was three business days.
