Not so much, you know? If I had to ship a Newton from here to the US it
would be nearer $50. USPS are quite fair on their shipping charges.

If I were in the US, what would shipping be for a fairly typical state
distance? The UK charges a flat rate whether it's 8 miles or 800, and
offers a guaranteed next day delivery for £18 for 2Kg with insurance.
