[NTLK] Help: Hard reset for eMate

I just got an eMate from ebay. It seems to be under the control of a
classroom set-up. I do not have the password. When I attempt to hard
reset I just end up at the pen align screen. I must be doing something
wrong. I thought you hold the reset button in while powering up. What
is the correct way?
