Yo, keedz, go easy on the spices: The man is right. There are battles all
over the place and they are not about any silly old crude oil. They are
about even more precious, mostly immaterial ressources and priviledges than
that. I think you both might actually agree upon that.

Meanwhile, you both dropped some uncalled-for verbage that might rather be
detrimental towards proving your possibly valid point in a public audience,
so I can not award either of you any points, and the fair-play bonus will
be added to the jackpot. You go play nice now, yes?

Tststs, those kids today...

P.S.: On last weeks off-topic furor from which I've most admirably
refrained on this board (tempted though I was...): Eric, Greece was the
greatest democracy in the olden days (actually was the only one at it's
time, to my best knowledge), as you had correctly stated before. Mucho
impressive, cool place compared to Egypt and Persia. Really.
BUT: Now, I know it's not nice to say bad things about folks who can't
defend themselves while being off-topic on any given mailing-list, but any
city-state in Greece was a severely patriarchical society, powered by some
of the greatest slave labour forces at the time, something that was maybe
only surpassed a few centuries later by those other great democrats, the
Romans (and maybe not even by them). Any replies please off-list.
