Bluetooth sure works well for syncing my significant others cell (t68i)
to the PBG4... Also it provides a cool wasy to use the phone (dialing,
SMS, etc) from the laptop directly.

Personally I would say, it's not dead at all, in fact it's just gaining
momentum in the marketplace. Apple certainly is using it more and
more, which is a good sign.

Just look at how USB languished for years, and people prognosticated
it's death, until Apple FORCED it into reality via the original iMac.

I am unclear on how the bluetooth support for the Newt would work, but
if it allows you to dial/control phones from the newt, as well as
connect to the internet, I think it is worth pursuing.
