[NTLK] ATA cards and voice notes

Has anyone used Paul Guyot's ATA driver to record voice notes
successfully? I purchased a high-speed 32x flash card (on the "works"
list at kallisys.com), adapter, and downloaded the latest demo driver.
The performance times I get for Nick's (119.8s) as well as the built-in
tests (548, 550, 550 SEQ/BTFLY/RND) for the driver are still pretty low.
When recording voice notes to the card at 5kbps and lower, the recordings
skip badly and are unintelligible.

Is the current version of the ATA driver not able to write fast enough to
do voice recording?
