 Thanks for the info, trouble is, I already changed the settings in the
prefs, and still the same thing. It is SO annoying not being able to pin
down the problem. My last resort is to say its a bad PCMCIA slot, but when
Iinsert the card, the green light comes on momentraily, so I'm guessing the
slot works to read the card, and I don't have any other cards here to test
itwith.

I recently had similar problem with my 2100 and exactly
the same card. But I knew the card was OK, before I switched
to a wireless one other.

My problem was that I just had forgotten to choose the right card
in "Prefs" in the "Card" popup menu of "Appletalk"...
