I received a very nice e-mail from Mr. Boris Michael v. Luhovoy, the
publishing editor of Palmtop-Pro Magazin, in which he pointed out that my
remark about Palmtop-Pro Magazin not having heard of the Zaurus might have
been a bit -- well, wrong. So I took a stroll down their website and
waddayaknow, it turns out that not only the new SL-c700 (the one with the
clamshell design, the one Sharp said they were only going to sell in
Japan, the really really kewl one) features proudly on the cover of their
last issue, but -- and much more importantly -- Palmtop-Pro Magazin
appears to be one of the few printed computer mags left that actually
follow the current developments in the Newton community.
So Yay Palmtop-Pro!
(And now for those who still wonder: my original remark had a very high
tongue-in-cheek level, as it should be obvious that the only magazines
that specialize in palmtops and would never have heard of the Zaurus could
only be those that proudly feature such words as 'CE' and 'Windows' in
their title, probably with 'Professional' as well. And you can take *that*
remark any way you like. :) )
