Jeremy,

If you have a male dog, they stop at every bush and slow moving object.

We always referred to the way Sam (our male dog) sniffs every shrub,
tree and pole as "checking is p-mail."

Maybe I should take the Newt along when I walk Sam. I could check my
email while he checks his pmail.
