According to Avi's mine draws about 60mA with backlight off, about 100
with it on.
I recelled mine with 1900mAh cells and get 20 to 24 hours of use on a
charge with 60%+ backlight use.
If you want better than 1050 cells (these are less than the originals in
the pack) look into replacement cells for wireless phones _ some of them use
AA NiMH packs of fairly high capacity.
