I wonder if Apple's naked Interconnect adapter had anything to do with
this design (http://www.normalkid.com/collector/inter.html). As unlikely
as it may be, there's enough room for that thing to fit in an end and the
Newton itself's raised just enough that even with the Interconnet door
open, conceivably the Newton could connect at a slight angle.
