You'll need a MiniDIN-8 to a DB9 serial cable. If your Windows machine
lacks serial ports, you'll need a Serial to USB adapter as well. The
above specific serial cable can also be built if you're into that kind
of thing:

*Or*, if you have an old Mac modem cable and a null modem adapter, that
should work as well. I have used such a beast of a cable in a pinch once.
