No idea about the floating button, but here=B4s a trick: Tap on the
text input field to make the caret appear, then double-tap somewhere
in the input field. This makes the keyboard pop up without having so
sacrifice screen space for a floating button. That=B4s still three
taps, but you don=B4t have to use a menu which would slow down the
process.
