I tried, or rather I had a friend's son, who had the tools and proficiency
to try for me. He ran into problems, and I ended up with an all-wood stand
that isn't too bad. I made some mistakes in the specs I gave him, and as
well as the fact that I never considered ever buying a 2100, so it's a bit
small and wrong-shaped for my 2100, but other than that, it looks nice and
works well. It's sitting on my desk as I write. :-)
