Well I have never had a Palm, I just bought a 2100 after using a 100
for many years.
I found that Palm Desktop 2.6.3, a free download from Palm,
<http://www.palm.com/support/macintosh/dtmac263.html>
works flawlessly in backing up my Notes, Dates and Names to/from a Newton 2100.
