Hi Again,

First I want to thank you for your advice on how to connect my Newton to my
work PC. I may not have seen all your replies because I couldn't seem to
follow the whole thread (there were discontinuities in the thread), but it
looks like the main possibilities are that I have the wrong cable or I need
to slow down my computer with slowdown.exe.

My machine is am HP Vectra from about 1996 with dual 200Mhz Pentium pro
processors. Most of our office has upgraded to newer machines, but my HP has
been dead reliable and still runs all our current software so I have been
reluctant to switch. I'm running windows NT 4.0.

Because of the age of my computer, I'm inclined to think that the cable is
the problem.

That brings me to my next question: I have a USB to DB9 adapter from keyspan
for my iBook. Will I need the null modem adapter for it also? (I'm deciding
between buying a null modem adapter, and returning my apple serial cable and
buying a null modem cable).

Thanks Again,
Mark-
