Yes. Provided we are talking about a Newton 2000 or 2100.
Download NewtTest from the software section of the site
in the signature, install it and have a look at the system
info. It will tell you the manufacture date somewhere near
the bottom of the window. If you believe Apple's documentation,
this is also possible with the eMate, but all eMates I've ever
had on my workbench claim to have been manufactured some time
around world war II...
