Cheers all,

if you want to buy a Siemens Notephone, you might want to keep yer eyes
peeled for ebay.de, on the basis of this being a Siemens product and
having
been marketed in Germany, one shows up at German Ebay at least every 4
to 6
weeks, usually sells for EUR 60,-- to 110,--. Above auction by
knowledgenavigtor has a starting price of US$ 249,99, and a Buy It Now
of
US$ 325,--, which i'd consider a stiff fee, even for a mint and boxed
kit.
- Remember: Prices will be lower after X-Mas! ;=}

Jon, and you were able to swap your MP 120 against the MP 100-style
Siemens
MP in the Notephone? But isn't the form factor quite different (e.g. pen

slot on the right w/ slides into the modem, plus serial connectors on
back
for the cradle, etc.)?
Imagine this concept powered with a MP 2xk - with phone answering
machine functionality! Now THAT'd be cool.

Q: I always wondered if the Notephone worked just with a plain vanilla
NOS
1.x, or if there were any special apps for this device (bought from
Apple
or third party or developed by Siemens). Anybody know more about this?

Q: Hmh, just wondered... Is there a phone answering machine software out

there for MP 2xk?

Wrong. It was an OMP / MP100 form factor. Even if you have one of those,
you'll have a problem connecting it to the phone since the Siemens
Newton
is missing the rubber protection cover for the serial port and AC plug.
