[NTLK] writing modem scripts for Cell phones

If you read my other thread aboutt he GSM cards, I have a nokia 3585i phone.

I have the INF file that nokia provides for Wondows users, and it's plainly readable, and quite commented.

so I'm curious how easy/hard it would be to write a new modem script for the newt, and also (heere's the ahrd part) I needa serial cable. Nokia only provides USB. Any one know of a source of info for making your own cables to conect to cell phones>?
