You can do that yourself, provided you succeed in getting a
memory card on which DataRescue is installed (can be found
at www.unna.org or on any MP disassembly page in the hardware
section of the site in the signature).

1) Plug the card into her, but leave her off for the time being
2) Connect her to your desktop machine
3) Start the Newton Connection Kit on your desktop machine
4) Switch her on. DataRescue will automatically start and wait
for your desktop machine to establish a connection.
5) Connect with NCU. Once the connection is established, do a
full backup, store it in a safe place and do another one.

If you can't resolve the problem, you can send the Newton my
way (Germany) and I can do this for you and mail you the backup
file. You wouldn't be the first for whom I've done this free
of charge. I could also replace the display if you are
interested, or I'd be interested in buying the corpse for parts.

Good luck

Frank
