[NTLK] best way to clean stylus?

I worked with my MP2100 yesterday afternoon while outside, and I
believe I've picked up some deep-seated grit on my stylus. I noticed
a number of scratches on my new NuShield I installed a few days ago,
(I usually don't put many scratches at all on the screen protector)
and I could "feel" in using the stylus that it felt like the tip had
picked up a bothersome but miniscule something. (Not feel by touch,
just in the stylus's action against the screen protector.)

What's the best way to clean a stylus? Alcohol wipe? It seemed in the
archives that some advocate that approach and others don't. I have
cleaned off the tip thoroughly with lint-free fabric, but the grit
persists. The stylus is the original to the MP2100.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff
